Different colors day vs night

The groovster is different colors at night then during the day, Ive attached photos during the day he is dark and not very colorful.. But at night he turns nice orange and yellow colors.
I know its based upon mood, temp, and a couple other factors. I understand that they also get darker to absorb more heat but his temp correct. I see other chams online and in their enclosures they are nice vivid colors. why isnt my guy looking like the others during the day.
His hatch date is around April 14. The pic of his sleeping colors are during a shed but you can still see what im talking about. Please answer if you have any knowledge, it is much appreciated. thank you

My veiled during the day will be a dark green and at night a real beautiful lime green when he sleeps, he is a 4 and a half month old turquoise veiled, he sometimes shows his blue if i take him out of his enclosure, but his green at night is really pretty lol

He is coming along just fine he looks to be dehydrated in the first pick. The bright chams you see are mostly because when people post picks they post the best picks where there chams are all fired up. Some are more vivid then others all chams show there best colour when sleeping. Your boy is only 7 months old he will produce more colour in the next five months you will see alot of changes.:):)

That's exactly how Franklin is. I love peeking in on him at night. He looks really cool with his lime green colors and his tail all curled up

Groovys colours look very nice, he is normal :) He will get more colourful as he grows up, or if you show him a rival (or a mirror!) not that I recommend it, just for info. :D

My chams are always looking very dull in their photos compared to real life (misting seems to get them brighter and they forget about the camera......)
All chams have their 'pajamas' which are especially pretty.
When they are about to shed they look duller, also if you have hard water in your area that can leave mineral deposits and make the colours less impressive.
