Dino vs. Praying Mantis

So i guess my Jackson (Dino) loves to eat Praying Mantis. Ive given him 3 in the last week or so, and even through they might be a bit to big, he goes crazy for them and eventually swallows them down. right now hes fighting with one.... he's hit it a few times but the mantis wont let go of the tree.... hes determined though.

My question is, knowing that a mantis typically eats other bugs and has the claws or whatever and the mouth to eat them, is there anything i should do to keep it from hurting Dino, or should i just let em have at it?

I know about the concerns about wild caught food. i live in the desert, and theres not much if any farm land around here so im not really concerned with insecticides or anything...

if thats your chameleon in you profile you shouldn't really have anything to worry about as long as dino eats them as soon as you put them in the viv!

ok, he usually does. i think he ate two in one day.... but yet it seems like he doesnt eat much of anything else... worms, crickets, moths... he just kind of ignores... so i dunno... i just put him in a 2x2x4 cage today and hes a lil pissed off, so he hasnt eatten the mantis yet, but i bet he will soon.

heres a picture of him eatting one... i was concerned he might choke, but from what i understand if it was to big to swallow he would of spit it out... but he eventually got it down...
