Discolored cham

So I work at petsmart and I am so worried about a juvenile veiled female cham that is in their care. She has bumps on her ribs and she never opens her eyes anymore, Just recently she's started to go pale and blotchy which is whay happened when I found a dead cham at work so I'm really concerned. I've been trying to get my manager to take her to the vet again but they won't unless they can't do absolutely anything for her. Please help!

Petsmart sucks. If they treat her they lose money. You can try to talk them into putting her up for adoption or in the back in the quiet room, I used to call that room the back room of death because once you went in you never came back out. You're probably not going to be able to save her but the best thing you can do is take lots of pictures and document the lack of action and then take your evidence to the HSUS and the local authorities that handle animal abuse cases. Things may not get resolved immediately but when reports keep getting made eventually a difference is seen that's how activism works.

The thing is she was already in the quiet room for a month and no progress was made so they moved her back out and she's already been to a vet

She does not look good at all. I doesn't look like she has eaten in a while, she looks dehydrated, and im sure she is developing MBD. What did the vet say?

The vet said that she didn't have mbd cause that's what i was worried about, he said the bumps were normal and that she just looked skinny so we've been feeding her 3 smashed wax worms a day but I have noticed some going uneaten

Its always a possibility that the vet does not know reptiles. I can say that is looks like more is wrong than just not being fed enough. I would document this like @Nursemaia said.

I'm sorry to tell you but it's on deaths door step. If so ething isn't done in the next few hours I doubt she will be alive for more than another day or two sadly.

You could try to hydrate her and give her something like carnivore care ...both by a needleless syringe very carefully so you don't get anything into her lungs...but I don't know if it will help.

when i go to petsmart i see the spot where all the reptiles are and a lot of the cages are basically 10 gallon aquariuams so it is super small and has no air flow

I really just want to take her in the back and let her live the rest of her life in peace away from stupid people banging on her glass and along to hold her and she could get better care back there but my managers need a specific reason to put her back

Petsmart and petco are ruthless. I wish there were tighter regulation on pet stores in terms of care for the animals. Reptiles need specific care requirements and Ive never seen petsmart or petco come close to providing acceptable husbandry. Its sad.

If it is at all possible for you to, you should try to provide them with proper lighting and hydration. While on your shift, could you mist the tank every couple of hours? I doubt it will save her but it may help to prevent future chameleons from becoming as dehydrated as this one...
