So my female vailed started laying her eggs today and when i came in at the back of ten at night i thought she was finished she was at the bottom of the bucket and she was freezing so i lifted her on to a branch to get some heat and she went back in to the bucket but i had coverd the eggs she layed in the sand back up and she in digging again its now nearly one oclock in the morning is it ok to go too bed and leave her lights on while she digs any help would b greatfull

I had one dig literally all night. I removed her the next morning and put her up high in the cage to rehydrate and warm up. She immediately crawled down and stared at the bottom of her cage where the container of sand had been. After I removed the eggs, I put the container of sand back in her cage, and she climbed right back in the sand and continued trying to cover up where she thought her eggs were for 2 more hours.
I wouldn't remove her until she climbs out or finishes doing anything with the sand.

It's a very natural process as long as the conditions are right. She will do very well by herself

Thanks or advice i woke up about three oclock and she was back on her branch so i turned her lights out so she could get some sleep i turned them bk on about half nine this morning and she got a heat and now shes back in digging again its nearly 11 oclock now i dont know if shes in covering her eggs up or digging to lay more i just want to give her a gd drink and to feed her some dusted locusts

How is she doing? Any eggs yet?

Some females will go off food for quite a while when laying so don't worry if she doesn't eat while doing all that digging. She will eat enough after her eggs are all laid.

You need to Leave her complete alone until she has covered her eggs and it is clear she is done. She does not need food in the middle of the process and if you leave everything else normal, such as misting and lighting, she will get what she needs.

Let nature take its course.

You need to leave her alone.
No lights at night.

females often lay at night, and sometimes they will sleep in their hole.

I went through some of the sanf and theirs eggs their she has layed though shes still in digging the way she sits on her branch looks as though theirs a little bulge on one end of her body but she looks skinny at the same time i think she still has more to lay

yikes! that was a bad, if well intentioned, idea. You should NOT have moved her. It doesn't matter if its the middle of the night - Do NOT mess with her. Leave her alone! if you are worried about heat (don't be) just increase the ROOM temperature, don't touch /move her. she doesn't need lights to dig a hole and lay eggs - let the lights go off at the normal time. trust the animal knows what it has to do and let her do it.

Thanks for the help people i will know the next time just to leave her iam not sure if she still has eggs to lay she looks skinny but she has a little bulge on one end as if theirs some eggs left
