Diy dripper

Hi, I've set up a diy dripper that basically makes it rain in my cage. I can tell my new baby panther really Enjoys it but I'm concerned I might be watering him too much. My timer only has 30 minute intervals so I bought a programmable one but my only options are to run it on a minimum of 1 minute and off a max of 1 hour between the time the lights are on. I want to be clear this isn't misting it's dripping from maybe 10 drippers above the cage onto different live plants around the enclosure.

So is 30 minutes of rain to much at a time? Is 1 minute of dripping every hour to much water? Does anyone know of any timers I could set to 10 minutes every few hours?

First off. What type of chameleon have you got? Species matters when water chameleons is concerned.

For Furcifer pardalis, Chamaeleo calypatratus and Trioceros jacksonii xantholophus drippers are okay. However, the best type of watering for chameleons though is misting. These species listed my guidence is misting twice a day for a couple minutes with a mister. I think if you have to use a dripper 2-4 times a day with a dripper for a couple minutes is okay.

Importantly, you have got to observe your chameleons and decide when/if they are staying hydrated enough. Then adjust your watering regime.
