DIY reflectors

Is it possible to do a little DIY uvb reflector. I was thinking tin foil or something?

I tried foil and was disappointed in it b/c of it's in-ability to curve appropriately around the light, it just flopped over the bulb, instead of like a hood. It would be nice to make some sort of thin plastic hood to coat with foil... When I gave up on that I tried the aluminum foil tape, which worked GREAT, but only to adhere to the surfaces behind the bulb...

I see. I might just purchase the arcardia tube reflector it's only like £5 here. Thanks for your reply
