Do Panthers recognise you?

As Levi my nosey be doesnt flare his chin or make noises/hiss at me and i can pick him up and he doesnt run away and has even started rubbing his head on my fingers ?!! but he hisses and flares at my boyfriend!

so what is normal behaviour? i didnt think Levi should act the way he does with me??

well i dont have much experience with this due to being a new owner myself but i have the same problem my cham doesnt seem to take to me to much he tends to darken up and hide on the other side of the branch but if my girlfriend goes near the cage he lightens up and heads towards her so i would have to say that they are more then capable of knowing whos who

yes they can tell the difference between humans for sure
