Do worn toenails grow back?

My Panther came with worn down toenails. I know if they loose a toenail it will never grow back. Is that the same if they're worn down?

I know the previous owner(s) must have kept him in a cage with metal and he worn them down. I'm going to rescreen his outdoor cage with nylon screen. Inside he's free range so no trouble.

Its a drag seeing him have to friction climb.

Hello! My vet told me not to file them or anything because they would not grow back.

I've experienced them growing back on veils. My wife used to file them down and they would get sharp again. I asked she never do that again though.

Just don't know about Panthers.
