Do you guys think this is kind of messed up?

I was on snap chat going through Nat Geo's posts and saw the "photo of the day." I wasnt sure what to think of this... i thought it was kind of inappropriate...

I think it's the harsh reality of nature...
This guy probably lost his eye and is now starving as he's no longer able to hunt.

It's sad, not pleasant to watch, but I don't think inappropriate.

yeah, if that was a pic of somebodies pet I'd be disgusted. but nat geo shows pics of animals in the wild, and that is the truth of animals in the wild. it also shows animals being mauled by lions and that's pretty normal.... that being said, think it's a weird choice for "photo of the day"
