Here's George, had him for a month. Can anyone see a problem or is he looking ok?

I ve got loads but this IOS7 update has really screwed things up. I will get there eventually :)

Looks great..how old is he? My veiled looks to be around the same age. Do you have any enclosure pics?

Looking good, nice straight limbs and seems to be well fed :)
Your enclosure setup is really nice but might I suggest a couple live plants? He'll certainly appreciate it!
And if I were to take a guess on age I would say 4-5 months given the adult bars coming through.

Thank you. It's bloody strange being new, and all advice is extremely welcome. This little beauty is gonna be part of my family.

I see a big problem. He seems to have what's called "cuteness." If too much of this "cuteness" builds up in his system, he'll blow up. But he's not in as much danger as Handsome Jack. ;)

cham - cage

Did you get the cham to go with the cage or vice versa? I think your more in to the cage than the cham. seriously, nice setup. He does look a tiny bit thin, in my opinion. But pictures don't really show the full size. I am sure he will fit right in. (on the lighter side, he has some knobby knees)

The enclosure has a lot to do with some great advice from Kate, as you can see here;

He's eating like a pig, and I'm thinking of getting some hoppers this week. I used to breed them for a tarantula many years ago so I thought about giving that a go again (breeding locust, not the tarantula bit :) )

Edit - another pic.

That's a great pic of your little one, I would guess age 4 to 6 months, unless he's a runt, like Smidget.

That cage looks very nice, but does it have good ventilation?

Mold slime grows in those kinds of cages almost overnight if allowed too

A friend of mine has one like that, he installed 2 little computer fans in his.

I think the ventilation is ok, but I will stay on "mould watch", especially as I have increased the amount of misting. Thanks :)

he looks cute and healthy, maybe slightly on the thin side (probably because he is growing fast). as a general rule of thumb, give him as much as he can eat in 5 minutes, 2-3 times daily.

but Is there a bump on the side of his head fin?

Looks like your enclosure has a vent at the lower back and the doors don't seal - that's good, should mean there will be adequate ventilation from the chimney effect with the heat lamp being ontop (I assume the top is screen).

I would go with live plants instead of the plastic.

hopefully you are not relying too heavily on what look like cheap dial temp/humidity gauges? if so, I recommend investing in a digital dual gauge (less than $20 at places like home depot) that will tell you temp and humidity, current and high/low readings also.

Otherwise looks good.

:)
Probes are about 2/3rds way up the enclosure. Your right about the glass doors also. Cheers

I've just ordered a "Terra fan" set to provide more circulation, after all, safe is better than sorry. It comes with two variable speed fans apparently. Should I have 1 suck and one blow? And what positioning would you recommend (ie one at the front, one at the back or perhaps one on the left and the other on the right ?) thanks in advance
