Hey guys,
So my 8 month cham is loving his new enclosure! He is in a 24x24x48 screen cage with a bamboo structure I created as well as a pathos and passion vine ( just bought a tropical hibiscus but haven't planted it yet).
Anyways, when I put him in his new enclosure, I used the weight of the plants to warp the PVC bottom so that water would collect into the center and drip through the holes I made and into a bucket. The problem was that on the 2 sides of the enclosure where there were no plants, the PVC bent up from not having any weight, allowing crickets to escape. SSome solution was to take 2 large stone, clean them in a water/vinegar solution, and use them to weigh down the pvc. Anyways I thought things were going well till I went to clean his cage. I lifted the stones and noticed about 5-6 crickets burrowed underneath. This got me nervous that a be my cham is not eating properly. I started to watch his behavior. I noticed he doesn't go for crickets right away and so luckily I do research on terrestrial is opens at my college and so I took a few is opens from my colony and fed him them. He ate them right away as well as the butter worms I offered him. So now I am worried he may have not been eating as much as he should. So my question to you guys is, does he look unhealthy or skinny for an 8 month panther ambilobe? And should I worry about him over the weekend? I won't be able to get different feeders till Monday.
