They haven’t told me anything sadly. They only said she needs treatment for 12 days. I’m going to call them tomorrow or go in and see if they’ll tell me anything more specific. What did they say is wrong with your chameleon?
Absolutely! Is cantaloupe okay for gutloading and to feed Mclovin? Nope. He is fully recovered.Glad he's back!
Please make sure that you're supplementing properly with phosphorous-free calcium powder at almost every feeding, phosphorous-free calcium/D3 powder twice a month, vitamin powder twice a month. Make sure you're providing appropriate temperatures low to mid 80'sF. Make sure you feed/gutload the crickets, superworms, locusts, roaches, etc things such as dandelion greens, kale, endive, escarole, collards, squash, zucchini, sweet potato, carrots, sweet red pepper, and a bit of fruit such as berries, melon, apples, pears, etc. Keep him hydrated.
Did they say to continue to give him liquid calcium or anything for a while longer?
Gotcha, but it’s hard because it seems he won’t eat enough crickets. I fed him one today with lightly dusted calcium and he wouldn’t eat the rest.. at least I don’t think. Since the new cage (24x24x48) it’s hard to see he’s eating them all. I’m trying cup feeding right now to keep track because he won’t roam and chase the crickets in the cage. I guess it was.. him being away for a month seemed like it was awhile though.Don't use too much fruit in the gutload or to feed him either.
That was a quick recovery...I hope they are right.
