His urate's are yellow. I just got back from vacation and he looked like this.
The person I hired to give him water and food didn't do their job.
I usually feed him twice a day.

Definitely looks skinny but we will need more info to help determine the cause. An underweight chameleon could be underfed, have parasites, improper care, etc. Please fill out this info: https://www.chameleonforums.com/threads/how-to-ask-for-help.66/

  • Your Chameleon veiled chameleon
  • Handling - never
  • Feeding - I feed my Cham crickets and gut load them with apples and other fruits
  • Supplements - I usually don’t
  • Watering - I mist for 2 minutes and see my chameleon drink sometimes
  • Fecal Description - yellow urates and has never been checked
  • History - I bought him from petco

Cage Info:

  • Cage Type - screen cage
  • Lighting - zoomed lighting
  • Temperature - 80 normal 100 basking spot
  • Humidity - 60%-70% on average
  • Plants - I use live spider plants
  • Placement - my cage is located close to the window
  • Location - Idaho u.s.a

Current Problem - I fear that he is dehydrated and skinny

You can set up a dripper and mist the cage a couple of times a day....and most people now seem to use a fogger at night. You can also give him a couple of tomato hornworms.

Your husbandry needs to be ajpdjusted too. I'll get on it in a few minutes.
Please read the links to the sites @Gingero has posted. She has good information!

Your Chameleon veiled chameleon HOW OLD? MALE OR FEMALE?
Handling - never
Feeding - I feed my Cham crickets and gut load them with apples and other fruits I WOULD RECOMMEND YOUNUSE DANDELION GREENS, KALE, ENDIVE, ESCAROLE, COLLARDS, MUSTARD GREENS, SQUASH, ZUCCHINI, SWEET RED PEPPER, SWEET POTATO AND A VERY SMALL AMOUNT OF FRUIT SUCH AS BERRIES, PAPAYA, MANGO, APPLES, PEARS, ETC.
Supplements - I usually don’t ITS RECOMMENDED THAT YOU DUST THE INSECTS LIGHTLY JUST BEFORE FEEDING THEM TO THE CHAMELEON WITH A PHOS FREE CALCIUM AT ALL FEEDINGS BUT ONE A WEEK. ON THAT ONE FEEDING, ALTERNATE BETWEEN. A PHOS FREE CALCIUM/D3 POWDER LIGHTLY AND A VITAMIN POWDER WITH PREFORMED VITAMIN A IN IT AND NO D3.
Watering - I mist for 2 minutes and see my chameleon drink sometimes I WOULD SET UP A DRIPPER SOMIT DRIPS ONTO A LEAF AT THE RATE IF ONE OR TWO DRIPS PER SECOND FOR A GOOD PART OF THE DAY.
Fecal Description - yellow urates and has never been checked IF THEYRE QUITE YELLOW HE'S DEHYDRATED.
History - I bought him from petco

Cage Info:

Cage Type - screen cage
Lighting - zoomed lighting UVB SHOULD BE THE LONG LINEAR 5.0 REPTISUN TUBE LIGHT OR THE ARCADIA 6. BASKING SHOULD BE A REGULAR HOUSEHOLD INCANDESCENT BULB THAT PRODUCES A TEMPERATURE OF 80F IN TH BASKING AREA. BE SURE TO TEST IT BY HOLDING YOUR HAND INSIDE THE CAGE AT THE CLOSEST SPOT YOU CAN TO THE BUOB. IF YOU WANT TO MOVE YOUR HAND ITS GOING TO BURN YOUR CHAMELEON AND MUST BE MOVED.
Temperature - 80 normal 100 basking spot SEE ABOVE.
Humidity - 60%-70% on average
Plants - I use live spider plants POTHOS IS ANOTHER GOOD OPTION.
Placement - my cage is located close to the window I WOULD MOVE IT AWAY FROM THE WINDOW
Location - Idaho u.s.a

Current Problem - I fear that he is dehydrated and skinny
