Drainage system

Okay so tons of people had told me to drill a hole on the bottom of the cage and put a bucket and then just take the water out from there but I cant do that because the bottom of my cage is glass. Some suggestions would be rly nice because I just got everything I would need to do it but my dad said we wouldn't be able to drill a hole in it.

If you really need to drill a hole you can with a diamond bit other than that maybe someone else could have a better idea for you or you might have to get a whole new cage if all else fails

What kind of cage do you Have? The bottom is probably tempered glass that can't be drilled. You may want to look into making a false bottom. Otherwise you're asking for problems

uh I have an Aluminum cage but I don't know what a false floor is. I forgot to reply to you. Sorry!

Can you show a picture of the cage bottom? A false bottom is what dart keepers do in all glass vivariums. You can Google it for details. It's rewarding, but a little more complicated to properly set up. It'll make drainage easier for you

Is the bottom not removable? Maybe if you can, cut it out. Then replace it with something else. Or use a wet dry vac to suck the water out. I feel like if the bottom is glass it's probably leaking out of the screen sides? In which case just put a bin underneath it larger than the base of the cage and It'll all leak out into it.

That's just an odd cage build in my opinion o_O like why? Why would someone do that? (I will likely have actual advice tomorrow... currently my brain isn't functional enough)

Oh really? All the cages where like that at the shop. Also I'll be eagerly waiting for that advice!

I don't think its removable, also there's things on the sides that protect it from leaking.

I'm just guessing but looks like the screen and glass are siliconed to moulding the same kind on the top and bottom of a fish tank you can always put some holes in the moulding and drain it some how that way maybe even a big enough hole to put a small tube to drain in a bucket that's all I got right now lol
