Dubais and Supers

Hello,

I recently got dubai and super worms and was wondering if they can climb up the side of the cage? I tried using a feeder cup but my cham did not like it at all, so Im free roaming the crickets in his cage again and was wondering if I could do the same for the dubais and worms. Thank you.

Unfortunately, what I've found is that the Dubia and supper worms crawl under the first thing they see in the cage and then you never see them again Lol!

I had some superworms that found a new home in a big log that i have in the cage. Every morning i found fresh wood chips (more like powder) under the log. Only after a few weeks i could find a hole in the log and catch them. One of them was actually pupae already. So supers only in feeder cup or handfeed :)
I put Dubias on a vine and let him hunt it. But i dont leave it in there. They also hide quickly.

Both Supers and Dubias are definitely capable of climbing the sides of a screen enclosure, but neither of them will do this very often on their own.

The bottom of my Cham enclosure is screen so, there's nothing for feeders to hide in (or under). I've tried leaving Supers and Dubias in the enclosure before. The Dubias seem to congregate in a corner and sit there idly for what seems like forever! The Supers just roam around the enclosure until they eventually find their way into one of my potted plants.

On a related note, my Cham's favorite way to eat Supers is from the sides of his enclosure. Unfortunately, Supers will only rarely climb vertical surfaces on their own. So, I usually end up grabbing them with forceps and holding them close to the screen until they grab on. Then I let them roam around on their own (as long as they stay on the vertical screen surface) until my Cham eats them. Maybe you can give this a try... Only downside is it's somewhat time consuming. As for the Dubias, maybe try leaving the feeder cup in the enclosure so your Cham gets used to it being there?

I do not let my super worms wonder around because they like to go under things and hide. Most of the worm feeders I put in a cup. I put my roaches on the cage walls and they climb around for a while before they find something to hide under.

The only way my Jacksons eats supers is also when they climb on the side of the screen cage. He used to eat them from a cup, but for whatever reason, he refuses to now. The only thing he'll eat froma cup is wax and butters now.

My guy didn't like the cup as much as roaming also, but same issues of the bugs hiding. I made up a feeder cup and roaming area in one. Maybe you guys can try to make one and see if that works, its done well for me so far.
