Dubia egg sacks??

whenever my guys chomp down on the dubias, this elongated tube gets squeezed out of the back end, i am wondering as to what it is? i was guessing it was the egg sack for the females?? not sure though.

Yes, those are the egg sacks, ootheca. The dubias extend them outside their bodies once they are fertilized and dry them, and them draw them back into their bodies for incubation. Someone has said baby dubias are actually "born", but I believe they hatch out of the ootheca from the rear of the mother's body. Those would have been your future dubias laying there in the oothecs, which are being lost.

Yeah dont feed the males the one with wings in the picture or the females!

just feed the nymphs

yea there was alot more of them than i wanted at one point, so just started feeding them off left and right, first time i ever fed adults though, so i was curios about this strange looking sac being squished out of them from the back. thanks for the clarification people
