how tall can the food/water crystal dish be and what type of material? im feeding small nymphs up to adults.. what type of bowls are safe and shallow enough for entry and exit?

I personally just put the food on the bottom of the bin and as for water I just give them fresh oranges every once in a while and it seems to work well. I tried putting food in a dish but most of it just ended outside of it anyways.

You don't have to have a food dish, they tend to scatter the food anyway, but if you want a food container, keep the sides at about 1/4-1/2 inch, and have some of the egg cartons land into the food. lids from jars, or even flat no-edge lids from cottage cheese work well.

Use water crystals for water, at 90 degrees they still last for days, and no bacteria/odor from skanky water. If you make your own crystals it is cheap.:D

I put fruit and veg on the lid that came off a sour cream container. The edge of this shallow "dish" is maybe 4mm. If you use fruits and veg, you dont need to provide a water source at all.

I use cricket crack and water crystals.. the crack goes on the bottom but I would like a dish for the crystals
