Dubia Question - Is this a molt or a death?

That looks like a roach that died and then the abdomen got eaten by his buddies. Molts are usually intact and weigh next to nothing.
Try to remember how inbred our Dubia colonies are, there are going to be inexplicable deaths, don't take it as bad husbandry unless you're having large numbers die off.

Thanks for the feedback... I appreciate it. I check for deaths every day. So far, this is number 3... And I've been keeping Dubias for ~3 weeks now. I'm not going to worry about it at this point.

In my experience don't get worried until you see young roaches dying off. When I first started my colonies I bought a bunch of adults and it seemed like they were dying let and right.. But they were just old.. If you see small roaches dying though you may have issues..

I too just had a mass dubia death occur. I got them approximately a year ago and I think it was just time for the adults to die off. It really felt like I went from having thousands to only a few hundred.
