Dubia Roaches

Get one male for every three females. Put them in a very large Rubbermaid tub with egg cartons to hide in. Feed them pretty much how you would feed feeder crickets. In order for them to breed, the temperature needs to be at least 85 degrees in the tub. A heating pad (for humans) under half to two-thirds of the tub keeps my Dubia colony at exactly 85 degrees. Females give birth to about 30 live babies every month. You need to switch out the adult breeders with fresh young breeders every 12 months or so.

Dubia roaches need good food, dark and we'll ventilated space, I keep my colony of 700+ in a 75 quart bin, that has opaque sides. A large hole is cut in the top for ventilation and it has tons of egg crates. I feed the fruits and veggies for moisture and my own chow for food. They also need heat or else breeding will be slow. I use a heat pad on the side of the bin. But you should try roaches before you start breeding them.
