so i got my dubias today, and the only problem is i dont have my heat pad yet for them. i am going to get one tomorrow, but i was wondering if they would be alright if the temp gets down to 50 tonight because the wife wont let them inside. i am going to have to keep them in the garage and it will probably be 55 in there. if not i might have to sneak them in ; )

That's pretty cold for Dubia. Sneak em in lol.

What do you have them in?

If you can rig a light to it you might want to put a 60-75 watt bulb on them for the night. If not maybe shine a flood lamp unto the outside of the box. 50-55 might stunt them. I doubt it would be enough to kill them but I don't know how it would affect egg and young development.

Good luck,
Kevin

dubia hates light. Maybe get the heat mat or one of those heat lamp that does not emit light.

i am going to get a heat pad today, i just needed something to get them thriugh the night, so i put the light in there to keep the temp up, and it seemed to work pretty well.
