Well i have a weird bunch of dubias... They dont like their chow they would much rather have apples carrots and oranges.... I know this is better as a gutload but not if you are trying to breed them... Will they still breed if they dont have a high protein diet?

Yes, I have babies constantly and fruits and veggies are the only thing I feed them except right before I feed them to my chams and the night before feeding I gutload the ones I will feed in a dry gutload that I buy from my vet......something like the cricket crack sold here.

Awesome because I was getting worried that they wouldnt breed... Sweet all they are gonna get is fruits and stuff... I am excited now!!!

If you still want to give it to them, you can blend it into a veggie smoothie. Add a fruit or two for some sweetness and they practically fight eachother to eat it.

So pssh, your blending your dry gutload with your fruits and veggies and making a roach smoothie? What do you feed it too em in? I like to put my veggies on a paper plate so its easier to keep the bin clean.

Sometimes they won't eat dry food or the high calcium veggies, so I just blend them all together with some fruit. The calcium hasn't killed them, so I don't think it's a problem. I use a lid to a glass jar that I just leave in there. I spoon about 1/2 cup to 3/4 of a cup of the stuff into the lid. They eat it off of eachother if it gets on some of them.

EDIT: the crickets like it too, but they won't eat it (for me anyways) unless I put an extra fruit in it. Also, blend the fruit first.
