dusting ?

i have just got a lovely new 3month panther chameleon, i have so far been feeding him 7-10 small crickets a day but the guy i bought him off said i should only dust the criks lightly twice a week but I thought they needed to be dusted every feed? and i just wanted to check with what you guys think.

congrats on the new chameleon

I lightly dust ALL crickets with calcium, and a couple times a month calicum with D3. That said, crickets are certainly not the only bug I offer my chameleons, and I dont always dust all the other bugs.

You also want to feed the crickets well, in such as way as to benefit the chameleon, which is called gutloading:
