Hi I have no plans on getting another. But there are so many different type of chameleons out there as herps. Was interested in what ones are easiest to care for. I know much about veiled and panthers but just being here I found others. I never heard of before. Like with veiled and panthers they get to be about foot long. Are there others that are bigger like green iguanas. Panthers won with best patterns and color. Male veiled have amazing cone heads forgot what they call them. Jackson's has horns that I seen before that are neat. I even seen chams that cost more then the panthers and they are costly. I guess I really don't know that much about them. Focus my mind and skills mainly with veileds I had almost all my life. Excellent pets but most I known are mean other then my male ambilobe that's a sweetheart...

No cham is easy 2 care for, so if your looking for an easy reptile, stick
with beardies. ;)

I just thought maybe there was a hardy Cham that's like desert type. People think beardies are a easy pet but there's more then meets the eye to them. Huge glass tanks and high temps and the worse is parasites with them coccidia. I have seen beardies in the worse conditions but still going strong. Pet stores are terrible for it. I guess what am trying to say is if someone tells you a pet is easy to care for maybe but do the research first. Beardies make a great pet have one. A lot needs to be considered before owning one.

out of my all my herps my bearded dragon has to be the easiest to keep that being said there is a difference between easy to keep and low maintenance my boas are low maintenance I guess what Im saying is even if its easy it can be more work and even if its only 10 mins of work it can be hard if that makes any sense

As a new cham owner (about 5 months) I can say veileds are not very hard to keep.. until they get sick and then the real fun starts.
No matter what cham you get, be prepared for huge vet bills ha

It makes sense and really shows there's no easy reptile to care for. I really like chams and noticing that careing for them is harder then I thought. I keep finding new information that I could of used when I needed it. I actually think there is no exact way to care for any herp. That the husbandry cannot be exactly what you find in a Herps hometown. Sucky topic I made but thought like iguanas have a rhino iguana species and maybe a Cham would too. Chams already have there blue iguana nosy be. Am quit typing now

Hi, Any chameleon with love, care, and the right supplies, is easily happy and healthy. Just research the one you like the best and make sure to give it the right materials needed! Hope this helps! :)

In my eyes... Its Oustalet Chameleons. They aren't delicate about the climate, will eat anything, and do just fine in low humidity environments. They are survivors and really are low care for, especially for those with little cham experience. It still requires work and is significantly more than a beardie or leopard gecko, but not nearly as difficult as a montane species or panther.

I will search about the oustalet chams and see what they look like and compare. I really like the panthers there my most fav because I love color. Veiled male are neat as well and adjust better then the panthers with what I noticed.

If your concerned about color... Oustalet's probably won't do it for you. They are very dull by most standards and definitely when compared to some of the panthers out there. If you can get over this aspect of Oustalet's... They are awesome. I posted a few pics of my guys in the photo section if you want to get an idea.

I really stay away from wild caught chams a lot of oustalets I seen online are wild caught and sold. I noticed female veiled or panthers are easier to care for then the males. That's my opinion and know probably get ruled out with saying that. If I was going to get another Cham have no plans yet but maybe. Probably get a male veiled because it was a fluke to even own a male panther as I do. But isn't doing well and stumped even a vet with his behavior and unhealthyness. Panthers are great I even love my mean female panther. With having a child on the way will be a long time before I could afford to get a male panther. Not saying I can't afford the chams I own because I put them before myself there like children to me. Still paying vet bills for my male panther. If anyone that reads this has a unhealthy Cham don't give up on them. Because ill tell ya my male wont give up on me and are bond in trusting one another is honestly priceless and a honor to me.
I still go over everything with him since day one and find few things I could of changed but having mbd and used calcium UVB correctly. Stumped with why he's acting so sick vet can't find nothing but a fracture.
My panthers have amazing colors and can't ask for anymore in any Cham. This topic I made got me thinking and figured out what's easy nothing...
