Eastern US crickets

I don't like to order crickets from the West Coast, I have not had a very positive experience as USPS is way too slow. I was ordering from Ovipost and the crickets were shipping from FL but I received an email that they are closing. Any other good East US suppliers?

Yes, I had just started getting my crickets from Ovipost too, so am bummed that they are closing. Before them I got my crickets and other feeders from Josh’s frogs. Even though they do make things right, I haven’t much cared for their error rate. https://www.ghann.com/ has some great crickets, and a few other feeders but it seems shipping rates are so crazy high. Reality though is they aren’t that much worse than any where else. Although she doesn’t sell large quantities of crickets and being in Florida, her roaches are discoids instead of dubia, http://www.lindasgonebuggie.com/ sells a variety of feeders at really good prices and currently needs all the support she can get, so that we don’t lose her too as a vendor. Times are tough for small businesses. :( With Ovipost closing and my attempts at breeding my own crickets not very fruitful, I’ll continue getting those feeders I can from Linda’s and the crickets and rest from Josh’s Frogs.

With you being in Florida I would think there are some local reptile expos. Here in Ohio I get most of my feeders from a expo held monthly. When I do need to order anything I like using joshsfrogs.

I got an email today saying ovipost is staying open? I am so confused. Was the other email some kind of fake news?

I’ll guess that they’ve found a way to stay in business, which I think is great! I also like that they offer some other items that I don’t think they had before.

I am excited too. I've not had any issues with Josh's frogs but I want to support ovipost, too. The only companies I've had a bad experience with is the ones in CA and it was out of their control USPS is just too slow going from CA to East Coast, it was taking a full 7 business days and all the crickets were showing up dead.

Yeah…Rainbow Mealworms is a fantastic vendor, but during the days of Covid my first and only order spent some time traveling around the country and had a winter weekend in Chicago, courtesy of the shipping company.

I ordered from Rainbow and Bassets. USPS is just taking longer maybe now that the holiday season is over it's better Im not sure and don't want to risk it to find out. One of them also sent me dead bsfl. I told them they were dead and they said no they are supposed to look dead. The container smelled terrible. I forgot which one it was. I'm just done tyring to get feeders here from CA.

I have to say I'm really impressed with Joshs frogs. My latest order came shipped in styofoam lined box with a still very functional heat pack.
My last order from them was packed the same way. I usually get my crickets and super worms monthly at a expo but hornworms black soldier fly larvae I get from Josh's
