I keep rhacodactylus geckos along with chameleons, and use
the repashy gecko diet for my rhacs. After looking at the ingredient list on the diet, it just "clicked" that I should try using it with my chameleons.
Rhacs have been raised for years on the diet exclusively, it contains the correct amounts of vit a, d, calcium etc. and is a complete diet for geckos, why not use it with chameleons?
I've been using it by dipping my feeder insects every 2nd or 3rd feeding in the dry dust before feeding, and not using any other supplementation for about 6 months now. So far so good! They all seem to be much more alert, and their appetites are out of control. I try not to overdo it, since it does contain vit a and d3.. but I only "lightly" add a little bit of powder before feeding. If the geckos are eating nothing but this without any problems, I highly doubt the chameleons ingesting small amounts to tie up nutritional loose ends will have any adverse effects.
Has anyone else tried this?
