SENIOR MEMBERS. eating and not eating

Ok so i have had Mr Ester for a week today. Total he has had 5 crickets in a whole week. this doesnt seem like much to me....?
He has access to more than that in a feeder cup. I have also tried to give him superworms. I put 4 in his feeder bowl and he has not touched them. He is very active in his cage and goes down by the bowl to check it out but never eats any of them. The previous owner said he did not cup feed him, he told me he just threw crickets into the cage and thats it.He also said that he never fed him by hand either. So you think maybe he is still just adjusting to his new home and isnt use to the cup feeding?? Any advice would be great even if you have anything on how to make a better cup feeder

Someone will probably give you better tips, but as far as supers go:

My little Chameleon refused to eat super at first. As soon as you hang them on the side of the screen in the cage, they take off like little rockets to the top. As soon as I did this, Chameleo Estevez started going nuts for supers, something about it drew his eye in.

Also, nothing is wrong with free range, if that tends to draw his eye more, I would go with it.

Oh, and he didn't eat in front of me for a while. I had to leave the room and come back later for him to eat. After a couple weeks, he chilled out.

You are not alone! I was so worried when I first got Lily. I still worry, especially when she has her 'I'm not eating anything' spells! I try to tell myself that she'll eat when she's hungry and she probably doesn't need to eat that much anyway when all she does is sit on her branch all day! I asked so many questions before I collected her, but I had to be sure that I knew what was involved in caring for her. I doubted myself and my ability to keep her alive before I even got her and I nearly changed my mind. I'm so glad I took the plunge and got her cos she's so beautiful and friendly and I love her to bits! You can learn so much from everyone on here!

As for people responding - I think it depends on the time of day and who's online. There are members from all over the world. I'm in the UK.

Good grammar, appropriate titles, seem to attract the most views and the best responses.

Also, gotta wait for people to get home from work/school. You'll see threads being hit up during US dinner time usually.

Note, he didn't eat in front of me, but did eat in general. I would still wait on more senior member responses.
