eating biovine?

hey everyone,
So I just caught my three month old male panther chewing on, and trying to rip pieces off the biovine in his cage? I am assuming since these fake vines are made for reptiles that they are nontoxic. But is there any reason he would be doing this? Or anything I neeed to be concerned about? Thanks!

Be very concerned about impaction. I removed most of these vines when I found all of my chameleons biting pieces off.

Well he seems to be pooping just fine. I will def keep an eye on it though, thanks!
