I just got a 4 month panther and have had him for about a week and he weighs a little over 10g. I usually put about 12 or 13 crix or roaches in his cup, but he only eats about 7-9. is he eating enough?
Andy, you'll know he's eating enough by monitoring his weight on a regular basis. A steady gain and close observation of his general condition is your best guide.
i have a question about feeding also, i was wondering if chams are like fish where they just eat untill they die if you let them or if chams know when they are full and dont want anymore food?
Most chams do not overeat. However you should still closely monitor food intake. An obese cham is just as unhealthy as a skinny malnourished one. Overweight overfed chams can have many health issues inc. prolapse. So feed about 10 feeders a day and remove any uneaten items at the end of the day. Once he is an adult you can start feeding every other day.
