Edit: Its coccidia

I figured it was normal, but I just wasn't aware it would come back right away when wiped away.

He was gaping a bit earlier, but his basking spot had jumped to 91f ( I fixed it dw). It's my understanding they gape when they have RI or when their temperatures are too hot. Is this correct?
Yup...and they can gape for other reasons too...like organ failure...but I'm betting on basking temperature! If he moves out of the basking area and is still doing it after he's had time to cool off the new oar about it again.

Yes, he stopped once it went back to the normal range. Now hes just exploring the lower branches of his cage to find a good sleeping spot like he always does around this time lol.

Also, he pooped. It smells a bit but not overly bad. If he still has some coccidia left, the second dose will kill it right?

It's only one dose every 2 weeks, .1ml . Im probably just paranoid one dose wont get rid of anything remaining lol

This one of the reasons for the follow up fecals. My vet said Ponazuril is very effective requiring less medicating. Because of Bahari's parasite load she did one dose then another 48 hours later then another 2 weeks after that one. I do not remember the actual dosage though although he was double Amaro's weight. Then she wanted to wait 4 weeks for the first fecal on Bahari. She stressed keeping everything clean... My vet also stressed keeping everyone separate and no cross contamination for 3 months of clean fecals... But she believed in a fecal every 4 weeks to ensure that Beman did not get it from initial possible exposure because I was an idiot and did not quarantine Bahari. So maybe your vet is doing 1 dose then another 2 weeks later because his parasite load is not that bad or there is the difference between ages/weights and what a younger one can handle. Bahari was a year old and 90grams. I dunno but it sounds normal to me.

From when he got his first dose (1 week ago), hes gained 11 grams. Growing fast! I just got back from getting more peroxide and some crickets and I found him with a cricket leg stuck to his face, looking at me like " oh, didn't see you there"

Also, after his last dose, i'm going to wait 2 weeks then get a fecal, and if its clean, should I go ahead and clean his cage completely one last time and set it up how I want it (with live plants, proper vines, ect) , or should I wait and get one more fecal after that one?

That is wonderful. He is a strong boy!

So I would wait to set it up until you have at least 2 clean fecals. So if your first one comes back clear of the coccidia you can then clean everything again and if you want add in a live plant so he feels safer. But I would not do the whole set up until you get a 2nd clear fecal. I would do the second fecal 4 weeks after the 1st clear fecal. Just in case it is better to be safe then to spend a ton of money on stuff you might have to toss if he is not completely clear of it.

Yes he is. His grip is also getting stronger as he gets bigger. Still full of sass though, still warming up to people lol

Fecals here aren't overly expensive, only 20 bucks. But the meds are 40$ for only .4ml so

And I had another question, the vet said if he has a couple of coccidia in his gut, it's fine (as long as he is doing well). If this is the case, would it be better to just give him another dose, or leave it?

Well your lucky. I was paying $65 per fecal and the meds were $85 :( I spent a fortune just in fecals not to mention the vet visits.

Hmmmm as far as the few coccidia being ok. I was told not in chams. That it is very normal and fine in Beardies but in chams it is not safe... But I am not an expert and do not have the info to tell you any more then I learned from my vet and my experience.
@JacksJill is very knowledgeable about this and would know better then I if it is ok to have any coccidia left in his system after treatment.

Update: Okay so I just gave him his last dose (by force) and just about got bit. Not shocking there lol. When should I clean his cage again? Sunday? Im cleaning once a week with peroxide and wiping everything around his cage with soapy paper towels everyday.

He is now 55-56 grams (the scale kept jumping from one to the other) so he is definitely growing!

Wait till Sunday hun... Give the meds time to pass it through his system. Then I would do a follow up full cleaning a week later then spot clean until that first fecal test. See what the results are at that point. Like I said my vet believed in 3 fecals 4 weeks a part to ensure the coccidia was really gone but your vet may be different.

My vet said we only needed the one fecal afterwards. But I will do two, because I didn't buy all these plants just to throw them away again in a month.
So they want a fecal 2 weeks after the last dose then another like 4 weeks later correct?

They said we only needed to do one fecal 2 weeks after the last dose and then we are good. But ill do one 2 weeks after and then another 3-4 weeks after depending on how busy they are + they never call back so its a bit of a pain, but I kinda don't want to go to the other backup vet because I don't know if the lady there knows what she's doing, and when I took my geckos in a few years back her vet tech didn't even know they stored fat in their tails.

I didn't clean amaro cage today yet, but I cleaned everything around it. I will do the cage a bit later. Currently amaro is getting some natural sun. My window opens but it has some mesh to keep bugs out, and I could open that too but im too paranoid for that. He is chillin on a dracaena. I don't know if he is enjoying it.. hes just looking around.

Just keep in mind that you do not know if he is clear of the coccidia yet.... If he still has it he can contaminate other things as well. This is why we quarantine them to one area.

Yep. Not letting him touch anything else.. just this plant. Plant will be thrown away in a few days.. I just wanted to give him some natural sun while it lasted.

Okay, update- He is now 64 grams. He eats like a pig, and seems to be doing well. His poop still has mucus in it, though. I get his first post-treatment fecal this Friday, and if I cant do it then, then on Monday. Then another one 3-4 weeks after.

I cant believe he's gained almost 25 grams in just a month! Not even, 3 weeks! Hes getting so big!

This was him a few days back.
