I have a clutch of veiled chameleon eggs that have been incubating for about 7-8 months now and are due to be hatching very soon. I have had 3 eggs hatch early where the babies still have like a bubble on their belly where they are still getting food through the egg. 2 of the babies died, I have one now that is still alive but looks very weak. He hardly walks now and is too weak to hold onto branches and such. I am keeping him in a deli cup with a moist wash cloth on the bottom in the incubator. I bought fruit flies and I am force feeding him about 10 or so at a time. I just don't know what else to do for him. PLEASE HELP! I dont know what to feed, where to keep him, or what else to do.

I also want to breed my female again but when I place her in with my male she shows receptive colors and so does he, but now he really goes after her and bites her. He broke the skin on her twice when he bit her and never tired to mount. I think he is trying to kill her not breed, he never tried to bite her the first them i bred them. is this normal?

If babies still have a yolk sac attached keep them with no plants on moist papertowel in a plastic shoe box. It will shrink and fall off-but never try to pull or remove them. They most likely will not eat until a few days after they hatch. You can try offering a few pinheads after a day or so. I agree with no force feeding. If they are not strong enough to make it on their own (providing you are doing things correctly) then they are not meant to be.
