I've been searching everywhere to figure out a few answers to some of my questions about the Elliott's chameleon, T. Ellioti?

First off, can someone tell me their expected lifespan in captivity? & has anyone had any experience in housing 2 females together?

The picture is of her baby born 3 days ago!!

A few tips about Elliot's Chameleons

-They grow to be about 10 inches
-There lifespan is anywhere from 3-10 years
-They can be housed together
-Maturity is reached within 6-9 months
-Males are slightly smaller than females
-Temps should not exceed 85 Degrees
-Humidity 75-80 Percents
-Night temps can be as low as 60 degrees
-Elliot's Chameleons are prone to mouth and sinus infections
-Babies are extremely fragile
-Pregnant females can bask in temps in the low 90's

Hope this helps:D!

Not that there is much difference in care but are you sure that is a Trioceros ellioti and not a Trioceros sternfeldi? The larger dorsal crest, the rougher scalation and bumpy side stripes are reminiscent of the latter. Would be able to post photos of the adults?

Lifespan is 3-5 years and while the Elliot’s do live in dense populations in the wild, I do not recommend beginners house communally. New owners may not recognize the subtle problems and stresses until it is too late. Please house separately.

The link that CNorton provided gives you the proper temperatures and humidity levels for either the T. sternfeldi or the T. ellioti.

ChameleonKing1911: Some of those values are waaay off. Be careful where you are sourcing your information.
