every day feeder

So i was just wondering what the best every day feeder would be for my panther. i have crickets and super worms that i feed her everyday and then i have hornworms that i feed her as snacks and to try and get her to hand feed
 
From things i read, cut the superworms out they aren't great for our chams, but as a treat they're okay. I use gutloaded crickets, dubia, orange head roaches, and silkworms as the main staples with a couple black soldier fly larvae every other day or so. Mix it up as much as possible with gutloaded insects.
 
Can't do much better than that. Heavy on the silks and roaches, just can't get away from the commercial crickets though. Gut load is paramount!
 
awesome thanks guys i am going to go up to georgia and get some dubia's as i live in florida and there is no where to buy them and can't ship lol. i will probably start a colony of them. and ok i will order some silk worms. how about the horn worms whats up with them i have a lot of them. also whats the best place to get gut load for crickets and roaches? i need to get some of this as all i and doing is fruits and such.
 
There are plenty of recipes on this forum for gut loads. Making them yourself is the best possible way. There are also commercially available loads to supplement your regime. Check Repashy website.
 
I haven't used hornworms yet because my cham is too small, but they seem solid. Mix them into your rotation, i'm sure there wouldn't be any problem with that. I have heard crazy stories of them biting though, not sure how real of a threat it is though

For gutload i use bug buffet from nick barta and organic fruits and veggies that my girlfriend luckily buys lol. Kale, romaine, sweet potatoes, mango, orange, apple, carrots, cabbage, kelp powder... I just give a little bit of each every couple days and it seems to work out. I save my fruit skins and random junk even and throw it in. I also notice the food seems to dehydrate and harden rather than mold. I keep cleaner beetles with the roaches which have helped make everything easy.
 
Hornworms are a lot of water. They will make your chams poo very runny if you use them as a daily feeder. I give one a day or a couple every other day when I have them but no more than that. They are great to help hydrate though.

awsome thanks guys. i have a lot of hornworms that i got for a good deal so i know that keeping them cool will stunt them but will it keep them alive and how long if i keep them cool as i know my cham won't eat all of them within 2 weeks lol. basically how can i preserve them as i understand how to stunt there growth. will stunting there growth in cool areas keep them alive?

Yes. I do a day in the refrigerator and a day out. I have a mini fridge that I keep on the warmest setting so it's cold but not super cold. I've done up to 3 days in and they've been fine.
