Excited

I believe there might be one or two hornworms in Septiceye soil in his umbrella plant . I'm not sure if he ended up finding them he was on a Hornworm strike for a bit . The wax worms We got moths before Using them , It was very simple actually . Now we just take maybe a handful of them with their food and let them do their thing . Silkies are a bit longer so I've had to order them between .

But when the wax worms turn into moths do you have to put them in a special enclosure or anything? Or do you leave them in your chameleons cage and hope for the best? I must ask Matt about his special chow.

I have not been successful with hornworms . I've got them to moths but I have wing issues . I will try crickets this winter . Seems like Charlie did not have a tough time at all . Though I wonder if winter would make a difference. It's very cold and dry here .

It might make a difference, unless you keep them in a warm part of the house. Or maybe when one of your babies is sleeping you can put one of their lights over the cricket enclosure? I guess it depends on how cold your house gets.

Oh no sorry when I added them to the babies diet I went off what Matt told me . So we use a big pretzel container we used screen on the lid and chow on the bottom . It's like 15 inch tall . I don't feed them often so one day I noticed moths . I just left them be I did not want them to get loose . Once they laid and died off I took the dead moths out and moved what I saw . You actually don't have to move the eggs the last few I reallycould not so I just left them . It's not to long befor you have tiny little crawlers every where . You want to make sure screen is very small their really tiny at first but grow fast .

Our condo is very very old built in the 1800s . We have actual box heaters that are connected wall , it's not radiator or event . So it's great for insects .
