Exo terra waterfall or repti fogger?

So this weekend, I'm going to petsmart or petco to Getty veiled chameleon a fogger or waterfall. What do you guys suggest? I know with the waterfall you can separately buy a fogger to put in it, but would it create enough fog to keep the humidity up? If not, what about a fogger? I'm not having trouble with keeping the plants wet, as I have a dripper and spray them often.

Or should I wait until I buy a big glass cage and get a habba mist?

Ideas?

Waterfalls are not recommended at all, because bacteria can build up and damage your cham's health. Are you having trouble keeping the humidity up in your cage? Do you have live plants in there? You say that you have a dripper and drip frequently - can you please tell us what your current humidity is, how it's measured, and how much is dripping into your cage? Thanks!

Only problem with a waterfall inside your enclosure, is that it'll create a heaven for bacteria. This can cause a whole bunch of unwanted problems for a chameleon so stay away from them. Also they may drown :(

As for taking advice from a PetCo Worker...Don't do it. I know they have tons of cool reptiles, but for chameleons they're def not the ones to seek for help.

A fogger is good to boost your humidity up, Usually a good hand mist with a dripper system should do the trick just fine. So i wouldn't get one unless you're in an extremely dry area where high humidity is hard to reach.

Here's a few care sheets on veiled chameleons:

The humidity has been around 40%. Is that good or bad?

If I would get the repti fogger, would you then suggest a glass cage or is that like a no no in chameleon housing?

Glass in not a no no, but its is something you need to read up on. are you talking glass with an open bottom for drainage, an aquarium or a terrarium? Aquariums are NOT meant for chameleons just incase you did not know. Read this https://www.chameleonforums.com/everyone-who-knows-you-cant-keep-chams-glass-31937/

As for the Humidity. it would be better to get it to spike higher. You can get shower curtain or any plastic and cut a piece and cover one or two of the screen sides and that will boost the humidity up a lot.

I have also been wondering. I want to make my own water fall and maybe giving away my turtle so i will have a internal filter that is mechanical, biological, and chemical. I can use that to take away the bad bacteria.
Will this be good??

I use a Reptifogger and a dripper and my RH is near perfect most the time... only when it's really dry dose the RH drop to 40% or under... its a good system so far..

If you need to get a new cage for him why a glass one? Many on here use all screen. Glass ones are ok but you could have problems with ventilation. The habbamister has a very small reservoir and the pump doesn't tend to last for long. The waterfall idea as said before would have to be cleaned daily to prevent bacteria forming and to clean out drowned bugs. If you heavily spray your viv till the plants are dripping wet that should keep up humidity. Your viv needs to dry out between sprayings and the humidity will rise and fall accordingly.:)

I have a fogger on top of mine. I use it here and there. Usually I just spray it with a sprayer bottle.

I was wondering if you put sphagnum moss as a top layer in with your potted plant and sprayed it would that give off some more humidity? Of course if your cham likes eating plants or substrate, you should cover it with a screen or something but also make sure there are no sharp edges to it. That may help.

I also have a cool mist humidifier from walgreens (20 bucks) that I use during the day in the same room.
