i bought one for my painted dragons, did not dare to take the UVB away yet - but i just have this bulb since two days.

does anyone uses it for chameleon? it definitely would save some space on the top of the cage

Its really good, but remember to keep it at least a foot away from the cham or more, they are 2-3x the wattage of a normal uv light. Its kind of a basking spot and uv light all it one. You still have to replace it every 6 months to a year. I stopped using them because they are 2-3x more expensive than the florescent and never lasted a year before the internal balast went out.
