Hi everyone. I just got home at 8:30 and went to to check on my pets before their timer goes off. Heathcliff was already sleeping, which was red flag number 1. I woke him up and I’m fearing I’m seeing some eye swelling?? He ate two crickets i offered him and now he’s awake just watching me, but his behavior has been a little off lately so I’ve been watching him closely. He never goes yo his basking spot anymore the last week or two when he usually spends most his time there. I’m not noticing anything else physically wrong with him…
Can someone weigh in??

This is him a few months ago!

You are concerned about something maybe in your male Chamaeleo calypatratus's eyes. To me your males eyes look great. There is no real bulges that would indicate something is there in his eyes. However if you are concerned you can put your male Chamaeleo calypatratus in a hydration chamber (light shower on branches or a plant) and allow him to flush his eyes for about an hour. That should clear your chameleons eyes for you and your chameleon.

Hope that helps.
