F1 F2 F3 confusion

Thought I understood. Then read something an aquaintance wrote about his snakes. Got confused.

is this accurate?
F1 = First filial generation; the offspring of two unrelated / wild caught parents.
F2 = Second generation; the offspring of two F1s.
Must these be related F1s (siblings) or can they be F1s from different lineage?
F3 = third generation; the offspring of two F2s
(are the F2s related or unrelated?)

Is a captive hatched animal (from a wc female) a P or an F1?

If a captive hatched male is bred to a second generation captive bred and born (her parents and her parents parents were captive bred) female, what are the offspring? F2 or?

I see F1, F2 applied to the number of generations out of the wild, but I didnt think this was the correct usage - I thought it had to do with inbreeding. This previous thread didnt fully clear the matter up I dont think https://www.chameleonforums.com/f1-f2-f3-f4-26491/

So, please confirm - for chameleon breeders, the F1, F2 F3 etc means generations captive, nothing to do with line breeding

As far as I know this is correct. I have a 4 month F1 ambilobe that I can't wait to see what is adult colours will be like.
