Fading colors?

My cham just went through a complete shed... it happened really fast too. His tail still needs to shed though.... any way, People always go on and on about their chams new colors after his shed. I gotta say I am rather dissapointed, It looks as though his colors are actually duller than they were before. Is this normal?

I dealt with this too when mine had his first shed with me last month. He went from showing good blues and greens with an awesome lateral line to almost completely white and a really light green. And he stayed these colors for a few days after the shed but slowly his new colors started coming out. His blues and greens came back with a fury and he's showing a lot more orange around his face. Idk if it's normal, but I definitely wouldn't be worried. Might get a surprise in a couple days :D

Can you post a pic? I might be able to help if you do.

i can't find my camera right now... :( Basically his greens and blues are really verry dull and he has been mostly black. Like when he gets to basking he always turns these dark colors (which is normal) but now he is like that almost all the time, even when he is not basking. His white stripe down his side is a more brilliant white .... and his dark colors are darker... but he now shows almost no red and like i said earlier his blues and greens are verry dull.

That is great to hear! I have been leaving him alone completly (except for feeding)... I had smaller crickets today than what I normally feed him because I was trying to make things easier on him.... he ate 15 crickets and one giant milworm! these were smaller crickets but he is only 9 or 10 months old. He was starving today so his healthy appitite made me happy. He is still dealing with a little shed on his legs and his entire tail so maybe he is still just being a grump holieole.
