Hi i just setup everything and misted it but the fake plants seem to dry out withint 10 minutes.. is this fine? will the chameleon drink right when i spray it? if not it will be dry. i'm also getting a few real plants for the bottom of the cage but its 4 feet tall and all the hanging ones are fake

I would reverse the order. Real plants at top, fake ones at bottom, and mostly real plants than fake plants. Not only does it hold water for longer but it helps keep the humidity up.

The rate at which the cage dries out is also affected by the humidity of the room, air movement from forced air heating or cooling, and how much airflow the cage has. If you have an all screen cage you might to cover one or more sides with clear plastic to help hold in moisture longer. The plastic also catches and holds water droplets in addition to what the plants catch. You can remove or add plastic at different seasons when the climate in the room changes.

Sometimes chams take a while to start drinking during a misting session. That's why its better to mist gently for a longer time rather than a short intense burst that makes them hide and shut their eyes until its over.
