I am purchasing two linear reptisun lamps, should I buy 10.0 or 5.0? My cages are 24x24x48 and they will sit side by side beneath the double lamps.
Quick responses are appreciated as I am on my way to buy them now.

I use both so it is really up to you. Consider how far up in the cage your chameleons bask. If they normally bask high up then 5.0 is the way to go, if they bask in the middle, 10.0's work also.

Mission Complete

So I posted this topic from my iPhone on the way to LLL Reptile. I found out that they were not open about a quarter of the way there. So my GF and I turned around and started to look for other shops that might be open. We did a google search and found a bunch of disconnected phone numbers. So on a limb we called Reptile Depot and they were open. Sure it was a long drive from OC but today was a 'do whatever' kind of day.

I went with the Reptisun 10.0 48". I figure I can always adjust the fixture height in relation to the cage. The cages are 48" deep and will be kind of thick with plants. Once I get this new phase of my cage setup complete I can have a local UV meter owner come over and test my lighting for me?

I wouldn't say close... BUT yeah... I can drive to these two shops. I think Reptile Depot is about 75 miles and LLL Reptile is about 35 miles from my place. The best part? The store prices are pretty close, if not the same as online.
