Feeder snails

Check on eBay that's where I got mine
Did you order them from Greece? That's the only place I'm seeing them for sale and I'm worried they would die with 2 week shipping and I feel as if I would need all sorts of paper work

Mine came from Greece, that's what I worried about to but they arrived in about 9 days and no DOA & packed very good! Mine are kinda dormant now, and I should mist them more so they get active ! Once you get them going they lay eggs like crazy!

So just to verify you didn't have to fill out paperwork for them? Just paypalled him and he shipped them your way? If so I'm going to order some next month!

Also do they make your enclosure messy with all the "snail trails"?

And two last questions haha. Were the parasite free or did you breed them and change the eggs to a new container before feeding any? Also are you in the US? I just ordered some and I'm hoping they arrive well.

I'm in the US, he sells his to restraunts in Greece so I'm assuming they'd be parasite free! Something else I noticed when you raise your own food items, bugs, or snails it seems like my Chams don't like them, the food I have to buy like crickets that they eat! There are snail trails, but it doesn't take long before they start laying eggs! No paperwork, came right through the mail,

I'm very interested in this. cool info! Can you post the link or if that's against the rules pm them to me?

The guy is on eBay, just search live snails, I think that's how I found them!
How large of a container do you use to breed them? And what kind of dirt do you use? Could you upload a picture of it? Thanks for all replying to all my questions!

Also do the snails roam around the cage and not hide? Or do they hide so I should put them in my feeder cup? I just ordered some and I'm excited for them to get here!

If you put them in a feeder cup they'll crawl out, mine crawl up the side of a 20 gallon aquarium I keep them in, I put a screen cover on top the tank to keep them in! Use window screen, anything else the baby snails can crawl through! Ask me how I know? You'll have more small snails on the outside than on the inside!

Lol that would suck. How much soil/what type of soil do you put in the container for them to lay eggs in? Do you leave the eggs in there to hatch or put them in a separate bin?

Also do you think a decent sized rubbermaid container would work with some small holes in it for air? How often do you clean it/change the soil? I've read to mist them two times a day, in the morning and night? Does that sound like too much, just right, or too little?

I mist alot, leave the eggs in with adults they bury them in the dirt, I use organic potting soil, a couple inches deep, and a cuttle bone for calcium

Usually it depends on how much they eat, mine are dormant now cause of low humidity, but if I start misting more they get more active
