feeders

If you're convinced that the maggots haven't been eating anything too horrible, and don't carry parasites. People buy and culture bluebottle flies and fruitflies, and feed the chams both adult insects and maggots without harm; in these cases, the insects have been fed on a formulated diet and are safe and wholesome. I wouldn't collect them from random decaying stuff in the yard.

My question is why would you want to? Is this a baby veiled? Because unless its a small cham maggots are not an approp sized feeder. There are so many better options out there than maggots. horns, silks, crix, dubia, mantids, grasshoppers, moths & superworms just to name a few. Maggots would be on the bottom of the avail feeder list for me.
