Feeding babys

Is it possible to overfeed your baby? If you do overfeed is it detrimental to their health like in snakes, can you "turbofeed" your babies and shorten their lifespan if your not careful? The breeder told me about 8-1/4 inch crickets a day, and the last two days he seems to be wanting closer to a dozen before he stops eating. he is about three months old and I would guess about three inches without his tail.

I would feed my babies and let them eat as much as they wanted in about 2 to 3 minutes and left a few extras for later. I would say 12 sounds about right depending on the size of the feeder.

Yes I think it is possible to overfeed.
I give my baby panthers as much as they can eat in about five minutes, two or three times a day. I dont count their individual intake, but I suspect it could maybe be a total of 30 fruit flies, or 10 crickets, or similar (depends on the size of the feeder and the age of the chameleon, and whether or not they are still in group housing or individually housed).

I also think its possible to overfeed the babies...and if you do it constantly it can lead to health issues such as constipation, prolapse and MBD.

I try to not to grow my babies too quickly and it seems to work since I have grown a lot of them to adulthood with no problems.

We are getting 5 baby veileds about 4 weeks old. Should we give something more than crickets the first couple days after shipment?

Mealworms? I did read somewhere that mealworms are good quick health boosting food if small or sickley but not sure if I should offer them this at 4 weeks old.....
