Feeding cup issues

I bought a white sports water bottle (one of those bigger ones) and took an exacto blade to the top of it. Then I sanded down that edge to round it out. It's about 6" deep and a 3.5" diameter. Its smooth enough so the crickets can't climb out and deep enough so they can't jump out. All in all, it works really well. I throw some veggies in the bottom for the crickets to snack on, that way they stay nutritious throughout the day and my chameleon can find them whenever he wants.

I'd like to see pic too. Do you know how high a cricket can jump? That way we would know how high the sides have to be.

Here is Zaphod's cup. As long as it is kept clean, the crickets usually stay put. When one or two do jump out it is O.K. because Zaphod enjoys hunting!!! I used a bird seed bowl and attached it next to a vine.

I generally put a bit of carrot and fresh greens at the bottom so they are more likely to stay put! If your misting will get in the cup, you may need to drill a few small holes in the bottom so there is not a cricket mass suicide . Hope this helps ;).

I clean it out every day and when I am misting I put my free hand over top to prevent any water from getting inside. The vine is nice and tight around the cup and just to be on the safe side I also have another vine running underneath it to support any excess weight (my chameleon).

This is very creative!!! I'm thinking about doing something like this when I set up my cage.
