Feeding cups/pots

Evening guys and gals :D

Just a few questions about feeding cups really.

My young Veiled Peanut, 11 weeks, doesnt seem too impressed by hers :( Im using clear plastic, is this ok? Or do you find they prefer opaque cups?

I know she knows there is food in there because she will take wax worms out.

I'm trying them at different heights of the cage, she seems more interested in the one on the ground of her cage

Hmmm, maybe she is just being fussy

I always use opaque cups for my chams so they don't see through it and potentially hurt their tongues trying to get at the food from somwhere other than the top. It may take a few days of cup feeding before they are trained to do so.

Chams don't understand the 'see thru' concept. She may hurt her tongue if she repeatedly shoots at bugs from the outside. I use a white cup so Amy can clearly see the food in there when she's above it. She can also see slight movements/shadows through the side, but not enough to want to strike from the 'wrong' side. I used to hand feed Lily her locusts and offer her crickets in an earthenware pot. EDIT: If I was going out for more than a few hours through the day, I used to leave dishes of superworms and crickets on the bottom of the cage, and she would happily eat from them too.

note: I beleive many folks initial problems with feeder cups is not that they are clear but rather presented poorly. Ive found ensuring the cup is suspended so the rim is below the vine/perch, means the cham can look down into it, rather than zap stupidly at the sides.
I've had much success with this method.
