Feeding herbs

We have Gizzy hand feeding worms etc now, but she appears to have gone off her crickets. Today we caught her chopping away at the fiscus leaves. I haven`t seen anyone mention eating the fiscus, is this okay ? Also we would like to buy her some growing herbs etc, but are unsure what is safe and what is not. Does anybody have any pointers please ? I was thinking of water cress, coriander or mint.

they are ussaly safe but i doubt he will eat them...eatign the plant is okay but if it happenes everyday then take the plant out.

Will do thanks Naich. She seems determined at the moment to eat try anything in her path. It`s great she wants to try, but we`re having to watch her like a hawk - she even tasted a twig tonight  We thought maybe putting a few herbs about may distract her from anything not too good.

They will eat plants, my female veiled would eat grapes out of my hand and seemed to really enjoy them.

Just make sure the white sap doesn't get in their eyes!

Have you tried offering her kale or wild rocket leaves? I think dandelion leaves are ok too, as long as they haven't got pesticide/weedkiller on of course! Lily ate some apple before and she tried to eat quarter of a grape but gave up cos it wouldn't stick to her tongue! Try offering a dish of fruit/veg and see if she'll leave her plants alone!

Thanks guys - I will try the rocket and kale too, perhaps she will like them as she seems to go for greenery more than anything. I did try the bowl of fruit for several weeks but she would only take apple from our hand and would not go near the dish. I tried putting pieces around her enclosure, but she avoided those too. We bought a hibiscus and she just pulled off the flowers

Stick a hibiscus in there too, or give it to your chameleon outside - my veiled literally ate every last leaf off my hibiscus.

Well, i have so far tried Rocket leaves, coriander and fruit. After offering them in a small dish for two days nothing happened so i put a small amount of wild rocket on a vine which did the trick and she now can`t eat enough. :D I did catch her munching the fiscus this mroning, but she now like rocket more i think. Great advice Miss Lily, thanks and i really hope Lily is feeling much better now.
