theres quite alot of differnt ideas out there for feeding my cham, i have put locusts in and they have gone so she must have eat those whilst hopping around....... and she is feed a waxworm by hand.... but many people put crickets, waxworms in a feedbowl what do u guys do...put them in losse or in a feedbowl.......sausage is 5 months old x

My female prefers to eat crickets from a bowl (she's quite lazy) and my male prefers to hunt them down. I think it's whatever works for your specific chameleon. He won't touch anything in a bowl.

What i do is, i break the jumping legs of the crickets and grasshoppers that are the staple for my cham. This way i free range the insects which allows the cham to exhibit natural hunting/feeding behaviour. I also free range house flies and wc caterpillars as an occasional treat.

feeding cups

my prefered feeding cup is a yoplait yogurt container, the type that is skinnier at the top than the bottom. crickets sometimes rarely escape, but it is almost impossible for most feeders to escape from. jmo

I Free range or hand feed (my female will Finally eat out of a large cup I hold! :D)as much as possible but my two guys both willingly eat out of feeding tubs. The bigger the container the better.
