Feeding too soon before sleep

I just recently bought a chameleon and I had a question about feeding habits. How much time should be between feeding a chameleon and turning their light off?

i would say atleast an hour because they bask to help digest their food, but nothing really bad would happen if you didnt do that(i dont think)

I think you should try to feed as early in the day as possible. While one hour may allow for food to travel from stomach to intestines, but proper absorption of the food requires exposure to light and light activity too.

hope that helps

My cham lights go on at 6 am and go off at 6 pm and he gets fed at about 6:45am or 7:00am so he can get up and get his water etc.

I turn lights on at 7am. I mist them about 7:30 to give them water as they wake up. They get fed about 9:00am and are up and about and ready to eat about then.
