Female and Eggs

So, my female veiled chameleon has been looking like she had some eggs that she need to lay..So I made a egg laying bin and covered her cage on the sides to give her some privacy. I periodically check on her, now I know that she's been digging bc she has dirt all over he feet.but how do i know if she laid eggs without disturbing her? She is not very friendly and I don't want to stress her out if she has not laid her eggs yet.

IF you see holes in the dirt, she hasnt laid yet.

If the dirt looks flattened out, then she has laid them, and buried them.

ok..thanks.I just went back to take a peek and she was in the dirt again..I guess I'm just being a worried cham mom.

it can take a female several days to finish laying.

My girl took 3 days to lay.

Just let her be, and when shes done, the dirt will look like she hadnt dug at all.

My girl took several days to decide that she wanted to lay. She would go dig, then give up and walk around, then go dig again. After she did that for several days I put her in a bigger container and put a lid over it and she had her eggs about 5 hours after that. Unfortunately, chameleons never go by the books, and have a lot of fun worrying their chameleon moms, so it is a totally normal feeling :) As Camimom said, just give her her privacy and leave her be, she will lay when she is ready!
