FEMALE VEILED SMEELS LIKE MAPLE SYRUP??!!

I thought most lizards smelled "sweet". Other than breath that could stop a train, the tegu also smells syrup like. Or maybe your kids are following the letter of the law, and are only handling the lizards after they eat, so they dont have to wash their hands :)

Ok, I have to ask...why are you smelling your chameleon? 🤨
Has she discovered that pancakes are so much tastier than bugs? Or perhaps she prefers eggos...you haven’t named her eleven, have you?
Is it her breath or any particular part of her? Have you any maple branches in her enclosure? Has she been getting any wax worms?

Now I wanna go sniff my chams! My leos have no odor and neither does my beardie unless he’s dragged a part of himself in his poo.

Oh I can’t go into my females cage unless I want to loose a finger. She hates everything lol I was filming a video showing ppl how she’s eating her new plants I put in and she just started hissing at striking at me. 2 years and she still hates me lol
Haha! 😂 I feel ya.

😂 I was just handling her and taking her to the free range and then i smelt faint syrup so i was like "is that jasmine?" and then i smelled her and it was.

She does get waxworms but very rarely probably only one or two per month.

Also its just her i have two male panthers and after the veiled started smelling like syrup so then i smelled the panther boys and they smelt like nothing its so weird.

I was thinking maybe if your wax worms were fresh they may smell sweet like the honey mix they eat...or someone skimped and gave them Mrs Butterworth. 🤷‍♀️
I guess you just have a sweet girl.☺
